This evening, January 22nd, the Student Senate* held the ever popular annual Unification Celebration in the Campus Recreation Gym.
Each year the campus is invited to the after hours feast of foods inspired by different cultures around the world. And the food was delicious!!
Foods from countries like the Middle East, India, Italy, Poland, Korea were sampled by at least 150 students. A Cajun-inspired Emeril Lagasse dish was prepared by PS-III student (third-year pharmacy student) Peter Erickson; and it was marvelous. Great job. I'm so stuffed, I can barely type.
A talent show was scheduled to take place, but was cancelled. There was not enough interest from members of the MWU community that wanted to showcase their talents musically or in dance. It would have been pretty rad! (Do people still say "rad"?) Anyhow, the night ended with a hypotist who razzled and dazzled the crowd. (Now, I'm pushing it.) It was quite entertaining.
Check out some photos!
*The Student Senate provides a mechanism for governance of campus-wide activities and functions. It also provides a vehicle for the exchange of ideas and perceptions concerning student issues that cross college lines.
