Downers Grove Campus Prepares for Admissions Open House

In just a few days, the Downers Grove campus will be holding the annual spring open house on Wednesday, April 22nd at 4:00 PM. The event is formally called the Health Professions Career Day.

Health Professions Career Day, held for the general public, provides an opportunity for people interested in a career in health care to learn more information about the programs offered at Midwestern University. On the Downers Grove Campus, there are representatives (both faculty and current students ) from the medical school, pharmacy, physician assistant studies, physical therapy, occupational therapy, biomedical sciences, and the clinical psychology programs.

Information is provided on the curriculum and prerequisites for your specific program on interest. In addition, there is time devoted to meet and speak with the faculty, many of whom are practicing clinicians in their field.

It's also a great event for our current Midwestern University students to give their first-hand account, with a variety of people who are considering careers in health care, also.

With the Office of Admissions, I make sure that we provide a positive experience for everyone once the set foot onto campus. The event located in Littlejohn Hall, just near the parking garage, showcases the library/auditorium that one could imagine themselves one day studying in. And just outside of Littlejohn Hall, is the quad area of campus, which is somewhat the nucleus of campus. Prabhu, Alumni, and Centennial Hall are the academic buildings circling the quad that each guest on this day will tour lead by a current Midwestern University student.

A campus tour will be provided, which highlights, the student housing and student center location on campus.

Representatives from Financial Aid and Student Services will also be available for discussion.
