A few weeks ago, the Office of Development & Alumni Relations launched the We're MWU Proud Campaign at both of our campuses. This effort has two goals: to promote team spirit and morale on campus and to provide opportunities for MWU employees to financially support scholarships, campus beautification, or areas of greatest need. Halfway through the campaign, it is clear that we have been successful in achieving both.

After many meetings spent debating different names for this campaign, we finally settled on "We're MWU Proud," because we believed that it resonates with our campuses. We found that it truly does. Here are some quotes from some of our faculty and staff explaining why they are proud to be at MWU:
"I am proud of our commitment to education; assisting students from admissions to graduation (and everything in between)."
Staff Member
"I am amazed at the scope and diversity of the community service provided by MWU's students, faculty and staff."
Faculty Member
"I am proud of the impact we are having on students' passions and commitment to their future profession and ultimately the impact they will have on patient care"
Staff Member
"I am proud of all the good people that I have been blessed with meeting and who have become a part of my life. This is an institution of growth, learning, and friendships."
Alumnus and Faculty Member
"We work in one of the most beautiful campuses in America, and the camaraderie between coworkers/colleagues gives a great sense of family. Viva Midwestern!"
Staff Member
"I enjoyed my time at MMU as a student and it's been 'home' ever since. Its leaders have inspired loyalty and empowered me to be the best health care practitioner I can be."

In addition to focusing on our collective pride in being part of this University, the campaign has also focused on people giving back to our students, our campuses, and our colleagues. So far, more than 100 faculty and staff have made a gift to the University, which is a wonderful testament to the kind of support we enjoy here at MWU.
The campaign will continue until the end of this month, but the good feelings and sense of pride will last throughout the entire academic year and beyond.
