Midwestern
University PA students become strong practicing physician assistants.
Over the last ten years our physician assistant graduates have consistently
passed the PA national certifying examination at a rate significantly
above the national average. The graduates are working in a wide variety
of areas. Approximately one fourth of the 2003 graduates work in primary
care, another quarter work in surgery, and another quarter are in
medical specialties. The remaining graduates are almost evenly divided
between emergency medicine and behavioral medicine. The average annual
starting salary of the 2003 graduates was more than $63,500.
At MWU, your rigorous physician assistant program covers basic
sciences, encourages community service, and includes clinical rotations
in surgery, internal medicine, emergency medicine, psychiatry, family
medicine, geriatric medicine, and pediatrics.
