American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine
The American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine (AACOM) was founded in 1898 to lend support and assistance to the nation's osteopathic medical schools, and to serve as a unifying voice for osteopathic medical education.
American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians (ACOFP)
ACOFP is the largest college of the American Osteopathic Association and continually strives to improve the standards and training of family medicine physicians.
American Medical Association/Medical Student Section (AMA/MSS)
The AMA-MSS is dedicated to representing medical students, improving medical education, developing leadership, and promoting activism for a healthy nation. It also strives to be the medical students' leading voice for improving medical education, advancing health care and advocating for the future of medicine. Its major goals are to focus on osteopathic recruitment and strengthen osteopathic chapters.
American Medical Student Association (AMSA)
The American Medical Student Association is committed to improving health care and health care delivery to all people; promoting active improvement in medical education; involving its members in the social, moral, and ethical obligations of the profession of medicine; assisting in the improvement and understanding of world health problems; contributing to the welfare of medical students, interns, residents, and post MD/DO trainees; and advancing the profession of medicine.
American Osteopathic Association (AOA)
The AOA is a member association representing more than 67,000 osteopathic physicians (DOs). The AOA serves as the primary certifying body for DOs, and is the accrediting agency for all osteopathic medical colleges and health care facilities.
Residency Program Directory
This directory helps students identify the locations, scope of training provided, salaries and benefits as well as contact information for more than 100 osteopathic family practice residency programs nation wide. It is published by the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians.
Student Osteopathic Medical Association (SOMA)
This association promotes osteopathic ideals and unity within the profession, educates future osteopathic physicians, and maintains lines of communication among healthcare professionals in an effort to continuously improve the quality of healthcare.
