American Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine (AAPSM)
The American Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine was founded in San Francisco in 1970 by a group of podiatric sports physicians who realized the need for an association devoted to the treatment of athletic injuries. Today the AAPSM has over 800 members. It is the second largest affiliate organization of the American Podiatric Medical Association.

American Board of Podiatric Surgery (ABPS)
Founded in 1975, the American Board of Podiatric Surgery (ABPS) is the organization responsible for board certification of podiatric foot and ankle surgeons in the United States. ABPS is the only organization recognized by the Council on Podiatric Medical Education to perform this function for podiatric surgery.

American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (ACFAS)
The American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (ACFAS) is a professional society of 5,500 podiatric foot and ankle surgeons. Founded in 1942, ACFAS' goals are to promote the art and science of podiatric surgery, address the issues and concerns of the podiatric surgeon, and advance and improve standards of education and surgical skill.

American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society (AOFAS)
Founded in 1969, the AOFAS provides members and other orthopaedic surgeons with excellent educational opportunities designed to assist them in providing the highest quality foot and ankle care.

American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA)
The American Podiatric Medical Association is the premier professional organization representing the nation's Doctors of Podiatric Medicine (DPM). The APMA represents approximately 80 percent of the podiatrists in the country. Within APMA's umbrella of organizations are 53 component societies in states and other jurisdictions, as well as 22 affiliated and related societies.

American Podiatric Medical Students' Association (APMSA)
The APMSA is the official national organization representing all students enrolled at the colleges of podiatric medicine across the United States. By virtue of their enrollment at a college of podiatric medicine, all students are members of the APMSA. APMSA functions to provide a forum to discuss problems, to further the profession of podiatry on a national level, and to establish the means for obtaining desired goals.

Foot & Ankle Link Library
Formerly known as The Podiatric Medicine & Surgery Network, the Foot & Ankle Link Library contains links to many podiatry related associations, medical educational facilities, pathology/therapeutics, businesses, periodicals and websites.

Podiatry Channel
A commercial website owned by Healthcommunities.com, Podiatry Channel was developed and is monitored by physicians. This site includes information regarding conditions, treatments, resources, news, etc. Information provided is beneficial for both professionals as well as patients.
