Physician Assistant Studies in Glendale


Graduates from our 2008 MWU-Glendale Physician Assistant program are an outstanding success: 100 percent passed the national certification exam the first time, surpassing the national average. They are also currently employed at an average salary of $75,366.

Our rigorous program immerses you in basic and clinical sciences as you prepare to participate in 15 months of clinical rotations in specialties such as emergency medicine, psychiatry, primary care, surgery, pediatrics, and women's health.

At MWU-Glendale, you will choose among four different master's tracks that prepare you in clinical medicine, bioethics, education, or research. Each master's track provides a different direction for your professional needs. Our faculty focus on giving you the opportunity to stand out among your peers as you prepare to enter the workforce.

The Glendale Campus was very busy this July hosting several events for our alumni: the annual Diamondbacks vs Cubs baseball game at Chase Field and the AZCOM Dinner with the Dean at the Wrigley Mansion.

MWU's matriculating classes of 2008 were welcomed to campus today for the first day of orientation. The 535 new students starting in the fall quarter joined 240 students who began classes in the summer session for a total of 775 new students. This is by far the largest entering class in the 12-year history of MWU.

Last Saturday evening, MWU held its annual Bright Lights, Shining Stars Gala at our Glendale Campus. More than 500 guests attended to celebrate the community and our commitment to service. Arizona Cardinals President Michael Bidwill was honored with the COMET Award, Kristin Parrack received the Shooting Star, and nine MWU students earned Spirit of Service Scholarships.

They came from 30 high schools throughout Arizona, and even a few from California and New Mexico. For eight days this summer, 48 students in the 2008 MWU Health Careers Institute got a crash course in the life of practicing health professionals as well as students in many medical fields.

For those of you who enjoy online social networking, you know that Facebook is actually quite cool. Where else can you blend your personal, professional, and even political lives together and then share with your coworker, your neighbor, your best friend, and your boyfriend from the sixth grade? Definitely cool.
