Clinical Psychology in Downers Grove

1. Time to Completion: Students that start the program with a bachelor's degree complete in a median of 4 years (average length 4.1 years). The median number of years that students with advanced standing have taken to complete the program has been 4.3 years (average length 4.2 years). To date 100% of students who have graduated have completed the program in fewer than 5 years.
2. Program Costs: $485 per credit hour (At the current rate, total program tuition is projected to be $128,700). Annual tuition for the first year is $25,740 plus $255 for testing material fees. A quarterly continuation fee (ranging from $500 to $1000) is assessed for completion of the Practitioner Scholar Project beyond the internship year. Students taking less than 12 credit hours per quarter are considered to have a partial course load. Tuition rates are subject to change each academic year. Historically, tuition has increased between 2% and 7% annually.
3. Internship Match Rate: Since program inception in 2003, six classes have applied for paid internships. The program has had a 100% placement rate for those students seeking internships in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, and 2010. The students obtained paid internships (2006: 100%; 2007: 82%; 2008: 88%; 2009: 100%, 2010: 94%, 2011: 100%); APPIC internships (2006: 100%; 2007: 88%; 2008: 88%; 2009: 82%; 2010: 77%, 2011: 89%); APA internships (2006: 38%; 2007: 0%; 2008: 6%; 2009: 18%; 2010: 18%, 2011: 16%); and one student obtained a 2-year internship-2008.
