Hospital - Chicago College of Pharmacy Career Explorers Program

Students completing their junior and senior high school year may apply to participate in an intensive six-week summer program for community. Students completing their senior high school year may apply to participate in the program for hospital. These programs consist of organized, hands-on activities in which the student functions as a pharmacy technician at various Walgreens, Jewel/Osco or Hospital pharmacies and take a short course in pharmacy-related topics on the campus of Midwestern University. These programs are designed to prepare students to be successful pharmacy technicians, allow students to explore various career opportunities in community and hospital pharmacy, link students to mentors who will provide career counseling in this health professional field, and provide information and guidance to prepare students for pharmacy education.
