The University
Midwestern University consists of the following colleges: the Chicago
College of Osteopathic Medicine, the Chicago College of Pharmacy,
the College of Health Sciences, the Arizona College of Osteopathic
Medicine, College of PharmacyGlendale, and the College of Dental
Medicine. Our history, which has been
guided by our mission to provide the
best in health education, tells the story of amazing accomplishment
and professional leadership.
The Colleges
Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine (CCOM) Founded
in 1900, CCOM is one of the most respected medical schools in the
country. Its 5,000 alumni have served and continue to serve in hospitals,
medical schools, private practices, and governmental facilities
nationwide.
Chicago College of Pharmacy (CCP) Founded in 1991, CCP offers
the Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree. Its successful curriculum
emphasizes pharmaceutical care and pharmacy communications.
College of Health Sciences (CHS) Founded in 1992, CHS offers
degrees at both campuses, with programs in physician assistant studies,
physical therapy, occupational therapy, biomedical sciences, bioethics,
health professions education, cardiovascular science, podiatric
medicine, nurse anesthesia, and clinical psychology.
Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine (AZCOM) Founded
in 1995, AZCOM has quickly established a national reputation for
excellence. Its innovative curriculum emphasizes the early introduction
of clinical experience and focuses on primary care.
College of PharmacyGlendale (CPG) Founded in 1998,
the College of PharmacyGlendale offers a Doctor of Pharmacy
(Pharm.D.) degree. This innovative, three-year program features
a modern curriculum and early introduction of clinical experiences.
College of Dental Medicine (CDM) Established in 2006,
the College of Dental Medicine offers a curriculum that includes
coursework in the basic sciences, the behavioral sciences, and the
clinical sciences; preclinical simulation studies; practical clinical
dentistry; and community clinical rotations.

MWU is accredited by the Commission on Institutions of Higher Education
of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCA),

The Campuses
The two Midwestern University campuses each afford you unlimited
opportunities by their proximity to large metropolitan areas. Our
Downers Grove, Illinois, campus 105 acres boasting innovative
facilities is nestled serenely in a wooded setting 25 miles
west of downtown Chicago. Our Glendale, Arizona, campus a
143-acre location that includes state-of-the-art facilities in a
peaceful setting is 15 miles northwest of downtown Phoenix.
Enrollment
Projected enrollment for both campuses for the 2007-2008 academic
year exceeds 3,392 students and will include approximately 1,300
medical students, 1,200 pharmacy students, 370 physician assistant
students, 120 physical therapy students, 100 occupational therapy
students, 100 biomedical sciences students, 25 cardiovascular science
students, 30 nurse anesthesia students, 100 podiatric medicine students,
and 80 clinical psychology students.
Academic Support
To help our students manage their academic responsibilities, we
provide a variety of support, study, and tutorial programs.
Student Life
Believing that well-rounded individuals make more caring health
care professionals, we offer our students a variety of social, academic,
and personal enrichment activities.
Financial Aid
The Financial Aid Office helps coordinate three types of resources:
scholarships and grants, employment programs, and loans. The Office
automatically mails a financial aid packet to accepted students
who return a signed matriculation agreement and submit their initial
