Federal Pell Grant

Eligible Disciplines: BS. Biomedical Sciences Programs

Program Description: Federal grant program

Eligibility: Undergraduate students who do not have a baccalaureate degree

Award Amount: $400-$4,050 per year for the 2007-08 award year.

Deadline: June 30, 2007 for the 2006/2007 academic year - June 30, 2008 for the 2007/2008 academic year.

Applications: Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and Midwestern University Institutional Financial Aid application

National SMART Grant

Eligible Disciplines: BS. Biomedical Sciences Students Only

Program Description: National Science and Mathematics Access to Retain Talent federal grant awarded to students with high need.

Eligibility: Full-time BS. Biomedical Science students who are enrolled at Glendale, AZ campus. Must be eligible to receive the federal PELL grant, be a U.S. citizen and maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Award Amount: $4,000 per year

Condition of Award: Must be a full-time student and maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Deadline: June 30, 2007 for the 2006/2007 academic year - June 30, 2008 for the 2007/2008 academic year.

Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant

Program Description: Federal grant program administered by the University

Award Amount: $240-$4,000 per year, based on the availability of funds

Leveraging Educational Assistance Partnership (LEAP) Program

Eligible Disciplines: Glendale, Arizona BS. Biomedical Sciences Programs

Program Description: Arizona state grant program

Eligibility: Full-time or part-time Arizona resident students

Award Amount: $400-$1,200 per year, based on the availability of funds

Deadline: Awards are distributed in the winter quarter of each academic year

Applications: Automatically awarded to students based on information provided on the FAFSA. Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and Midwestern University Institutional Financial Aid application

Arizona Private Postsecondary Education Student Financial Assistance Program (PFAP)

Eligible Disciplines: Glendale, Arizona BS. Biomedical Sciences Programs

Program Description: Arizona state voucher program

Eligibility: Full-time baccalaureate students who have received an Associate's degree from an Arizona public community college

Award Amount: $1,500 per year

Deadline: Funds are awarded on a first come first serve basis

Applications: Students must first complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and Midwestern University Institutional Financial Aid application.  Completed applications must be submitted directly to the Office of Student Financial Services

Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine Alumni Association Book Grant

Eligible Disciplines: Downers Grove, Illinois Osteopathic Medical Program

Program Description: Grant program offered by the Alumni Association and administered by the Alumni Office

Eligibility: 2nd, 3rd, and 4th year medical students enrolled at the Downers Grove, Illinois campus

Award Amount: $300 gift certificate toward the purchase of books. Varies annually

Deadline: Varies. Students will be notified by the Alumni Office
