Course Credit

Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine

In the first two years, course credits are generally determined according to the following formulation: one credit is assigned to a course for 3 laboratory contact hours per week; two contact hours per week involving interactive group problem-solving or workshop discussion sessions; or one contact hour of formal lecture per week. In the third and fourth years, one and one-half credits is given for each week of clinical rotations.
