The Glendale Campus region of the MWU/OPTI offers residency training programs with unique opportunities for professional and personal growth through integrated urban and rural clinical training at multiple sites across the state of Arizona. Trainees in the Glendale Campus region will train in multiple settings with the goal of ensuring competency and proficiency for professional independent practice in their chosen specialty. These training programs feature dedicated faculty members committed to training residents who will assume integral roles in their communities and within the osteopathic family, both during and after completion of their training programs. Their faculties emphasize a personal, hands-on approach to postgraduate teaching while providing outstanding academic curricula that includes OMM and research. In addition, Midwestern University’s Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine, a Participating Partner in the Glendale Campus region, utilizes videoteleconferencing to provide didactic lectures, research assistance, and faculty development to both its urban and rural training sites. While current programs emphasize primary care, the MWU/OPTI directs future growth toward increasing the number of both primary care and specialty training programs throughout the Glendale Campus region.
