In winter 2009, West Suburban will open its new $24 million Emergency Department (ED). The state-of-the-art ED will double in size - expanding to 20,000 square feet. It will be staffed by Board-certified physicians, registered nurses, and support staff all specialty-trained in emergency care. Patients will benefit from enhanced privacy, larger treatment rooms, the latest imaging equipment, and on-site laboratory capabilities.
