April 16, 2013

by Office of Communications

Students at Midwestern University's Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine (CCOM) are planning a series of events to celebrate National Osteopathic Medicine (NOM) Week which occurs April 14-20.

The students kicked off the week with a workshop where they learned about the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) House of Delegates and how they could participate in upcoming AOA meetings. During the rest of the week, CCOM students will welcome AOA Executive Director John Crosby, J.D., host speakers on osteopathic philosophy and pediatric medicine, and conduct an ice cream social for the entire campus.

NOM Week was developed as a means for members and supporters of the osteopathic medicine profession to come together and educate the public about osteopathic medicine.
