The January issue of Chicago magazine has recognized two osteopathic physicians associated with Midwestern University's Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine (CCOM) for their contributions to women's healthcare.
Faculty member Teresa Hubka, D.O., FACOG, Chair and Residency Program Director of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Daniel A. Rowan, D.O., a 1986 graduate of CCOM, were named to the magazine's list of Top Doctors for Women in the Chicago-area. Castle Connolly Medical Ltd., a healthcare research and information company, compiled the list after surveying physicians and the medical leadership at top hospitals to identify highly skilled and exceptional doctors.
In addition to sharing her expertise on a variety of women's healthcare topics with CCOM students, Dr. Hubka is a medical director for Comprehensive Wellness Care in Chicago. Dr. Rowan is associated with the Little Company of Mary Health Providers Network and specializes in preventative cardiology.
Since its founding in 1900, Midwestern University's Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine has graduated more than 6,000 alumni and accounts for nearly 13 percent of all practicing osteopathic physicians and surgeons in the United States.
