Students practice exercises to strengthen core muscles at a recent wellness fair presented by second-year occupational therapy students on the Downers Grove Campus.

The important role Occupational Therapists (OTs) play in promoting health and wellness was the theme of a recent information fair on the Downers Grove Campus. Occupational therapists are trained to provide treatment and services that help individuals of all ages - infants to elderly - regain, develop, or master everyday skills so they may live independent, productive, and satisfying lives.

The fair allowed second-year OT students the opportunity to research and present information to the University community. The students presented on a wide range of topics including yoga for autistic children, acupressure, office exercises for computer users, fall prevention, and many more topics designed to keep people healthy.
