Kay Kalousek, DO, graduated from COMP in 1989 and completed her family medicine residency training at Doctor's Hospital of Montclair in 1992. She then joined Renaissance Medical Group and was appointed that same year as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Family Medicine for her participation as a clerkship preceptor. In 2000, Dr. Kalousek joined the Department of Family Medicine at COMP as the Course Director for "Essentials of Family Medicine." A continuing passion for medical education has stimulated her to expand the scope of her duties over the past few years.

Dr. Kalousek continues to practice medicine on a part-time basis and has a special interest in the care of persons with HIV and AIDS and maintains credentialing as an HIV Specialist through the American Academy of HIV Medicine (AAHIVM). Over the years, she has been principal investigator for numerous clinical trials for medications to treat HIV, and has been honored for her volunteer work with organizations that advocate for persons impacted by this disease.
