Pharmacy in Downers Grove
Midwestern University Chicago College of Pharmacy (MWU-CCP) seeks a candidate for a position in the Department of Pharmacy Practice with clinical practice opportunities at Northwestern Memorial Hospital (NMH) and Rush University Medical Center (RUMC). The position is a two year post-doctoral program with a focus on translational research. The candidate will have access to a research rich environment including a fully equipped basic sciences laboratory and the expertise of the skilled researchers that staff these laboratories. The candidate will have the opportunity to participate in ongoing research and will have a large degree of freedom to design novel research. Potential investigations are nearly limitless as the candidate will have access to clinical data/samples from NMH and RUMC and will have dedicated laboratory space at Midwestern University. All research conducted will conform to the requirements set forth by each institution's investigational review board.
The candidate will be engaged in a variety of clinical practice rotations at NMH and RUMC and will have the opportunity to practice in the setting of academia at MWU. The candidate will have the opportunity to precept pharmacy students and residents completing their infectious diseases rotation.
Applicants must have graduated with the Doctor of Pharmacy degree and be eligible for pharmacist licensure in Illinois. The applicant must have completed an ASHP accredited PGY1 residency program or demonstrate equivalent experience. The applicant must be motivated, self-directed, and have excellent communication skills.
