Conference Description
Diabetes is a highly prevalent disease associated with devastating comorbidities and high mortality. Attendees will receive a program syllabus complete with all learning materials and will enjoy a continental breakfast, lunch and access to Hamburger University's unlimited soft drink, coffee and tea beverage services throughout the day.  You will not want to miss this exciting day of high quality educational programming and networking with colleagues!

Conference Goals

  1. To educate participants with the most current evidence-based information about the prevention and treatment of diabetes and its related conditions
  2. To instill in participants a sense of responsibility and confidence to teach diabetes self-management and promote medication adherence to patients
  3. To enhance the patient care skills of participants including appropriate use of glucometer devices and disease state management apps in patients with diabetes

Accreditation Midwestern University Chicago College of Pharmacy is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of pharmacy education. Participants may earn up to 7.5 contact hours (0.75 CEUs) of continuing pharmacy education.  To earn the continuing education credit associated with each session, participants must attend the session in its entirety and submit a completed session evaluation and pre/post learning assessment for each session when applicable.  Statements of credit will be available on http://mycpemonitor.net within one month from the date of the program.
