Chicago College of Pharmacy Center for Teaching Excellence

The mission of the Center draws on the mission of the College and University and states, "Midwestern University Chicago College of Pharmacy recognizes teaching as its central and paramount purpose. Accordingly the mission of the Center for Teaching Excellence is to promote, enhance, and assess the scholarship of teaching and learning."

The Center for Teaching Excellence supports faculty, preceptors, adjunct faculty, residents, students and teaching staff. Its goals include:

• Be a resource to and support for faculty in the development of their teaching skills.
• Promote teaching practices that are grounded in scholarship.
• Inculcate academic values.
• Recognize outstanding teaching.
• Facilitate educational research.
• Provide continuous evaluation of Center outcomes.
