Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine

The Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine and the Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine are accredited by the Commision on College Accreditation American Osteopathic Association (AOA). The Commision on College Accreditation is recognized as the accrediting agency for colleges of osteopathic medicine by the United States Office of Education and the Council of Postsecondary Accreditation (COPA). College of Pharmacy–Glendale

The College of Pharmacy–Glendale's Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), 20 North Clark Street, Suite 2500, Chicago, Illinois 60602-5109; 312/664-3575, 800/533-3606; Fax 312/664-4652.

College of Dental Medicine

The Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) degree program in dental education is accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) and has been granted the accreditation status of "initial accreditation."

Arizona College of Optometry

AZCOPT has been granted the pre-accreditation classification of "Preliminary Approval" by the Accreditation Council on Optometric Education (ACOE), of the American Optometric Association (AOA), 243 N. Lindbergh Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63141-7881. "Preliminary Approval" is granted to a professional degree program that has clearly demonstrated it is developing with Council standards. "Preliminary approval" is the only classification available to a new professional program.

College of Health Sciences

Physician Assistant Program

The Physician Assistant Programs on both the Downers Grove and Glendale campuses are accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant, 1200 Findley Road, Suite 240, Johns Creek, GA, 30097; 770/476-1224.

Physical Therapy Program

The Physical Therapy Program in Downers Grove is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE), 1111 N. Fairfax St., Alexandria, VA 22314.

The Physical Therapy Program in Glendale is seeking accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education of the American Physical Therapy Association (1111 North Fairfax Street, Alexandria, VA 22314; phone; 703-706-3245; accreditation@apta.org). The program will submit an Application for Candidacy, which is the formal application required in the pre-accreditation stage. Submission of this document does not assure that the program will be granted Candidate for Accreditation status nor does it assure that the program will be granted Accreditation.

Occupational Therapy Program

The Occupational Therapy Programs on both the Downers Grove and Glendale campuses are accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA), located at 4720 Montgomery Lane, P.O. Box 31220, Bethesda, MD 20824-1220; 301/652-AOTA.

Cardiovascular Science/Perfusion Program

The Cardiovascular Science Program has applied for initial accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP).

Clinical Psychology Program

The Clinical Psychology Program applied for accreditation from the American Psychological Association (APA) as soon as it was eligible and an accreditation site visit was completed in April of 2007. Podiatric Medicine Program

The Accreditation Committee of the Council on Podiatric Medical Education (CPME) has determined that Midwestern University has satisfied the eligibility requirements of the Council for the Arizona Podiatric Medicine Program.For further information, please contact the Council on Podiatric Medical Education at 9312 Old Georgetown Road, Bethesda, Maryland 20814; 800/ASK-APMA.

Nurse Anesthesia Program

The Nurse Anesthesia Program is accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs (COA), 222 South Prospect Avenue, Suite 304, Park Ridge, Illinois, 60068-4001; 847/692-7050. Effective: November 1, 2007 through October 31, 2011.
