Today I got my free flu shot in Cholla Hall on the Glendale Campus, expertly administered by one of the faculty members of the College of Pharmacy. It got me to thinking about the fact that as an employee of a health sciences university, I have lots of opportunities to improve my own personal health.

Two Fridays ago, the first year students at the Downers Grove Campus received their first white coats at a ceremony shared with families, friends, and faculty. This event is one of the most meaningful we host, primarily because it is such an important day in the lives of our students.
With the growing and aging population, and continued forecasts of physician shortages, MWU is once again stepping up to the plate to meet society's health care needs.
Last week, MWU hosted the annual Ward Perrin Clinical Refresher Course & CCOM Class Reunions at The Westin in Lombard, IL. This annual event provides a continuing medical education program mixed with several special events and the reunions for the classes ending in '3 and '8.
