This afternoon, many MWU students, faculty, and staff lined up to donate blood at the Downers Grove Campus. The line was pretty long, which was a good thing.
The school year is off and running, and I realize it has been many weeks since my last blog. Between orientations and graduations and recognition dinners, it has been hard to keep up!
I am not going to lie--August in Phoenix is miserable. Not only is it hot, but it tends to get humid, particularly during the monsoon. The good news, though, is that relief is only two hours away.
Traveling as much as I do, I occasionally share an airplane with people of varying levels of fame. On Monday, Billie Jean King was sitting behind me in seat 5B from Phoenix to Chicago.
If you drive past 59th Avenue and Utopia Drive in Glendale, you will see the large crane and the structural steel going up on our latest initiatives--the Midwestern University Eye Institute and the Midwestern University Dental Medicine Clinic. Both are scheduled to open to the public in spring 2010.
