Virtual Health Sciences Career Month

The Health Sciences Career Month is designed for high school classes to attend online presentations created by Midwestern University’s healthcare professionals.  Students will have the opportunity to view and participate along with recorded video workshops highlighting careers in osteopathic medicine, optometry, dental medicine, pharmacy, physician assistant studies, occupational therapy, biomedical sciences, perfusion, podiatric medicine, clinical psychology, physical therapy, nurse anesthesia, speech-language pathology, veterinary medicine, precision medicine, and nursing. Materials will be sent to participating classrooms for hands-on activities, and all VHSCM presentations and activities will be accessible online for a full month.

The Virtual Health Sciences Career Month in Arizona is funded as a result of generous financial support from BHHS Legacy Foundation, which is an Arizona charitable organization whose philanthropic mission is to enhance the quality of life and health of those it serves.

Please note: the first 1500 registered students will receive a stethoscope and reflex hammer to practice physical exam skills. In addition, the first 40 registered teachers will receive an anatomical classroom model.
