High school sophomores and juniors are invited to a virtual summer program offered by the Chicago College of Pharmacy at Midwestern University to learn more about a variety of pharmacy career options. The Virtual PharmAcademy will be held from June 22 to June 26, 2020. The program will provide students with a fun and comprehensive learning experience about the diverse career paths in pharmacy from expert pharmacy faculty and researchers. During this program, students will spend five half-days from 10 AM to 2:30 PM learning and engaging with Midwestern University faculty, practicing pharmacists, alumni, and current pharmacy students.

The new virtual program will explore patient care in a variety of pharmacy practice environments. Midwestern University’s Chicago College of Pharmacy offers a doctoral degree (Pharm.D.) in pharmacy and educates students to be valued members of the healthcare team.

Midwestern University has been offering a summer pharmacy program for high school students for 20 years and many past participants have gone on to pursue various careers in pharmacy. The University is offering the Virtual PharmAcademy at the reduced cost of $35 for the week-long session. Availability is limited.
