During orientation for AZCOM students in August, a special presentation was made to the incoming D.O. students from the Jason Madachy Foundation.

Each member of the Class of 2021 received a brand-new stethoscope with the words "Excel in Leaving a Mark" engraved in the metal. The presentation was made in honor of the late Jason Madachy, a medical student at Marshall University's Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine who passed away unexpectedly in 2007.

AZCOM students will also be invited to a pre-graduation reception co-sponsored by the Foundation in 2021. They will be encouraged to reflect on the moments that followed their receipt of the stethoscopes and encourage them to give back in kind to future classes.
