Delta Dental of Illinois recently announced the election of four new board members who will each serve three-year terms. Dean P. Malone, Vice President of Finance and University Officer at Midwestern University, was among those named to the board of directors for Delta Dental of Illinois, a national dental benefits leader. Other appointees include Darryl Rodgers, a vice president at Bernstein Private Wealth Management; Dr. Cissy K. Furusho, a board-certified pediatric dentist; and Dr. Ron Riggins, a general dentist.

"Together, these four new board members bring a wealth of experience in dentistry, finance, and business that will help Delta Dental of Illinois work toward continued financial strength and growth, hone our strategic plans and goals to best meet the needs of our customers, and further our mission of improving oral health."

In his role at Midwestern University, Mr. Malone is responsible for the operating budget and financial operations for the University which includes several health clinics as well as the colleges of medicine, pharmacy, dental medicine, optometry, veterinary medicine, health sciences, and graduate medical education. Mr. Malone has served as a board member of the American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine, the Downers Grove Chamber of Commerce, Family Shelter Services, and the Arizona Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
