Midwestern University is saddened to receive word that two of our esteemed Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine alumni and a former member of the Board of Trustees, have passed away.

George Caleel, D.O., CCOM '55, a Professor of Medicine and Pharmacology, passed away February 18, 2017. He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Caleel.

Henry Witte, D.O., CCOM '53, who served as Chairman of the Department of Anesthesiology, passed away February 17, 2017. He also was a member of the Board of Governors of the CCOM Alumni Association. He is survived by his wife, Betty J. Witte.
