My role at the Institute for Healthcare Innovation is to direct veterinary and human clinical trials. Prior to joining Midwestern University, I spent 15+ years in the pharmaceutical industry, holding various roles in business development, regulatory affairs, and clinical research.

My administrative duties are directed to supporting human and veterinary clinical trials on campus and with local hospitals. Often, I serve as an investigator on veterinary studies in various therapeutic categories.
My investigator initiated research projects and areas of special interest include:
Cancer Biomarkers: detection of circulating biomarkers for early cancer detection
Venom Toxin and Envenomations: retrospecitve and prospective studies in veterinary patients envenomated by pit vipers, including the detection of circulating venom toxin components in blood.
