Dr. Raney received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Arizona in 1996 and then completed pharmacy practice and ambulatory care specialty residencies at the Medical College of Virginia Hospitals in Richmond, Virginia 1996-1998. She served as an Assistant Professor Pharmacy Practice at the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Pharmacy from 1998-2001, before joining the faculty of the Midwestern University College of Pharmacy in 2001. She is currently a Professor of Pharmacy Practice and also practices as a clinical pharmacist at the Midwestern University Multispecialty Clinic, providing collaborative disease management services with family medicine providers for patients with chronic cardiometabolic conditions.

Dr. Raney's scholarship efforts focus on the development and evaluation of continuous professional development strategies for students and practicing pharmacists as well as the clinical areas of endocrinology and women's health.
