Course Description

Friday:  Morning Session
The Single Tooth Implant: The Ultimate Esthetic Challenge
The past few years have brought a paradigm shift, as guidelines for the surgical and restorative approach have changed dramatically. Fine tune your workup to create a result that is as close to a natural replacement as possible. We will focus on the latest advances incorporating evidence-based data. Participants will review a unique sequential treatment planning approach which can result in successful outcomes.

Emphasis will be given to the use of 3D treatment planning as it relates to the diagnostic workup and the use of computer guided surgery. * Multiple provisional options and/or interim Hawley prosthesis appliances will be reviewed to attain ideal esthetic results. Long term follow-up will be shown as it relates to these approaches.

Learning Objectives:

Friday:  Afternoon Session
To Pull or Not to Pull  (Course description forthcoming)

Saturday Options:  Invisalign Certification/Refresher and Addressing CAD/CAM Challenges

First Option:  Addressing CAD/CAM Challenges (Hands-On)
This course will discuss four topics in the four-hour time frame:

We will review popular CAD/CAM systems (Planmeca's Planscan, 3Shape, and Sirona's CEREC), compare scanners (Emerald, Trios, and Omnicam),  in-office milling units (PlanMill, Ivoclar's PrograMill One, and CEREC  X), and furnaces (Ivoclar Vivodent Programat CS4 and CEREC Speedfire)
  3. Lions and Tigers and Zirconia...Oh, My! Confused with the myriad choices in CAD/CAM restorative materials. Let us simplify your life. We will discuss their advantages and disadvantages, proper intaglio surface preparation and delivery of indirect materials.
  4. Hands on CAD/CAM preparation workshop. Minimal designs with long term success! We will provide typodonts, Bien-Air electric handpieces and the MWU bur selections for milled restorations.  If time allows participants can scan their restorations and have a personal evaluation from our experts.
