Academic Probation represents a notice that continued inadequate academic performance might result in Dismissal. If students on academic probation successfully complete their probationary period, their academic status reverts to Academic Warning. To return to good academic standing, students must correct deficiencies and incur no further failures. When students are placed on academic probation, it is noted in their academic records. Subsequently, when students return to good academic standing, this is also noted in their academic records. Academic probation is not noted on transcripts. Students on academic probation are ineligible for leadership positions and research activity.
