I welcome you to the 67th year of sponsorship of the Annual Ward E. Perrin, D.O. Clinical Refresher Course. The courses, designed to enhance clinical performance and continuing in Dr. Perrin's tradition, offer the latest updates in medical knowledge and applied workshops in osteopathic practice, all delivered by expert faculty of CCOM and distinguished guest speakers. This program was designed for Internal Medicine, Family Practice, Hospitalists, P.A.'s and other D.O. physicians seeking Category 1-A AOA approved Continuing Medical Education credit.

Faculty Disclosure

It is the policy of the CCOM CME program to ensure balance, independence, objectivity, and scientific rigor in all its educational programs. Individual activities are developed independently of educational grant support. Commercial support will be listed in the conference program materials. In accordance with the standards of the AOA, commercial support of this meeting has had no influence over topics or speakers. Faculty disclosures and any references to unlabeled or unapproved uses of drugs or devices will be in the course syllabus and announced during faculty introductions.

Physician Assistants

PAs may submit hours for a maximum of 22 credits. MWU/CHS PA alumni are invited to participate in all or any of the CME Programs and meet with former classmates while continuing your education.

Conference Locations

The 66th Annual Ward E. Perrin, D.O. Clinical Refresher Course and Alumni Reunion Weekend will be held at the Westin Lombard and adjoining Harry Caray's Ballroom, 70 Yorktown Center, Lombard, IL 60148. Thursdays afternoon's session will be held at Midwestern University, 555 31st Street, Downers Grove, IL. A complimentary hotel shuttle will be provided to and from campus.

Registration Desk

Registration will be will be Thursday, September 11, 2014 from 8:00 am through 1:00 pm and Friday and Saturday, September 12/13, 2014 beginning at 7:15 am.

Registration Information

Registration refunds, less a $10.00 cancellation fee, will be issued for written requests on or before August 21, 2014. No refunds will be issued after this date for non-attendance. Schedule is subject to change. The final program will be available on-site in the registration area.

Physician CME Credit

Midwestern University Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine (CCOM) is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) to present continuing medical education programs for physicians. Midwestern University Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine anticipates that the AOA Council on Continuing Medical Education will approve this program for approximately 22 hours of AOA Category 1-A CME credits. Approval is currently pending.

CCOM Alumni Association Annual Awards Luncheon

The Annual Luncheon of the Alumni Association will take place on Friday, September 12, 2014 from 12:00 pm until 1:30 pm. During the luncheon, the Annual Alumni Awards will be presented. Please join us to honor our 2014 recipients.

Annual W. Don Craske, D.O., M.D. Memorial Lecture

The W. Don Craske Memorial Lecture will be presented during the luncheon on Saturday, September 13, 2014 from 12:00 noon until 1:00 pm.

Hotel Accommodations

A block of rooms has been reserved at the Westin Lombard, 70 Yorktown Center, Lombard, IL at a special rate of $130 single or double occupancy until 5:00 pm on August 21, 2014. After this date or after the block fills, reservations will be based on room availability and subject to a higher rate. Guest rooms will not be booked by CCOM. Reservations can be made by calling 888-627-9031 or online by clicking HERE. Request Westin Lombard Yorktown Center, IL for the "Midwestern University" room block. All hotel cancellations are the sole responsibility of the guest(s) and must be made 72 hours prior to arrival to avoid charge for the first night's room and tax. The departure day will be verified upon arrival, if the guest(s) depart earlier than agreed, room charges for those day will be incurred. Payment to the hotel must be made in cash or on a major credit card. Personal checks will not be accepted. Check-in time is 3:00 pm; check-out time is 12:00 noon on the day of departure. Accommodations prior to check-in time cannot be assured.


Surface and garage self-parking are complimentary. The garage is located behind the building and is connected to lobby elevators. Valet parking is available at $4.00 per day or $7.00 overnight.
