Students who satisfactorily complete the program will graduate with a Master of Science in Nursing (M.S.N.) degree (with a specialty focus as an Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner) and will qualify to sit for national certification through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB) or the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Upon passing the national certification examination to practice as an Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner, students will then be eligible to apply for certification as an advanced practice nurse within their respective state board of nursing or U.S. territory.
