American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA)
The AOTA is a national professional organization representing over 40,000 occupational therapists, occupational therapy assistants, and occupational therapy students throughout the United States. Students are eligible to join AOTA.
American Occupational Therapy Foundation
Supports research and education to advance the field of occupational therapy; sponsors workshops, provides networking, and offers grants and fellowships.
American Physical Therapy Association (APTA)
The APTA is a national professional organization representing nearly 63,000 physical therapists, physical therapist assistants, and physical therapy students throughout the United States. Its goals are to serve its members and the public by increasing the understanding of the physical therapist’s role in the health care system and by fostering improvements in physical therapy education, practice, and research.
American Student Committee of the Occupational Therapy Association
The American Student Committee of the Occupational Therapy Association provides a mechanism for the expression of student concerns and offers a means whereby students can have effective input into the affairs of AOTA.
APTA Student Assembly
Established by the APTA House of Delegates, the Student Assembly provides a forum for physical therapy and physical therapist assistant students to share their common interests. The mission of the Student Assembly is to be the principal membership organization in conjunction with APTA membership for student and student affiliate members acting to promote student involvement in the APTA.
National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
The National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy, Inc. (NBCOT) is a not-for-profit credentialing agency that provides certification for the occupational therapy profession.
