American Dietetic Association (ADA)

The American Dietetic Association provides information for the public, food and nutrition students and professionals, the media, and more. The ADA is the world's largest organization of food and nutrition professionals.

Computer Access to Research on Dietary Supplements (CARDS): Office of Dietary Supplements (ODS)

From the Office of Dietary Supplements, CARDS is a database of federally funded research projects pertaining to dietary supplements.

Division of Nutrition & Physical Activity (NPA): Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)

The Nutrition and Physical Activity division of the CDC provides science-based activities for children and adults that address the role of nutrition and physical activity in health promotion and the prevention and control of chronic diseases. The scope of DNPA programs includes epidemiology, applied research, public health policy, surveillance, community interventions, evaluation, and communications.

Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis Network (FAAN)

The mission of the FAAN is to increase public awareness about food allergies and anaphylaxis, to provide education of food allergies and anaphylaxis, and to advance research on behalf of all those affected by food allergies.

Food and Nutrition Information Center (FNIC)

The FNIC is a leader in online global nutrition information. A part of the National Agriculture Library of the U.S. Department of Agriculture, FNIC provides materials for consumers, child care institutions, teachers, and nutrition professionals.

Food and Nutrition Service (FNS)

The Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) administers the nutrition assistance programs of the U.S. Department of Agriculture. The mission of FNS is to provide children and needy families with better access to food as well as a more healthful diet through its food assistance programs and comprehensive nutrition education efforts.

Nutrition Analysis Tool (NAT)

NAT is provided as a public service by the Food Science and Human Nutrition Department at the University of Illinois. The tool is intended to empower individuals to select a nutrient dense diet. It is not intended to replace the advice of a physician or health professional.

Office of Dietary Supplements (ODS)

Sponsored by the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the Office of Dietary Supplements site includes the Computer Access to Research on Dietary Supplements (CARDS) database, the International Bibliographic Information on Dietary Supplements (IBIDS) database, health information, news, research and training, and more.

Tufts University Nutrition Navigator

The nutrition directory is an online rating and review guide assisting users in finding accurate nutrition information quickly. Listed sites have been reviewed by nutritionists who apply the rating and evaluation criteria developed by the Tufts University Nutrition Navigator Advisory Board.

United States Department of Agriculture (USDA): Center of Nutrition Policy and Promotion

This site includes dietary guidelines for Americans, an online dietary assessment tool, recipes, and tips for healthy meals.
