When Midwestern University first opened its Glendale Campus in 1996, only 136 students - 103 osteopathic medical students and 30 physician assistant students - were on the rolls. Over five times that many students graduated from five University colleges at the end of May during Midwestern's spring commencement ceremonies.
The Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine (240 graduates), the College of Pharmacy-Glendale (144 graduates), the College of Health Sciences (168 graduates), the College of Dental Medicine-Arizona (106 graduates), and the Arizona College of Optometry (44 graduates) honored their Classes of 2014 during three days of commencement ceremonies from May 28 through May 30.
Midwestern University will hold an additional commencement ceremony in August to honor students from College of Health Sciences programs. The University's inaugural class from the new College of Veterinary Medicine will also begin studies at that time.
