Beyond 20/20: Vision and Learning in the Classroom
Tuesday, October 17, 2017 | 6:30 to 7:30 pm
Presented by Tina Esposito, O.D., FAAO, FCOVD, Assistant Professor
Midwestern University Eye Institute and Arizona College of Optometry

Learning in the classroom can present a number of challenges for children, but a child's vision is a key building block of the learning process. Being able to see clearly may still not be enough if a child has other vision issues, such as poor binocular vision. Join Dr. Esposito as she takes you into the classroom to illustrate how vision issues beyond simple 20/20 clarity can affect a child's learning. She will discuss the types of visual deficits children can suffer and how regular exams and treatments can help remove barriers to proper learning.
