High School Day
Area high school students were treated to a full day of hands-on labs and presentations from Midwestern University faculty, staff, and students.

On Wednesday, February 28, over 800 high school students from around the state of Arizona converged on the Midwestern University Glendale Campus to take part in a five-hour hands-on introduction to healthcare careers.
The Health Sciences Career Day, a free annual event which draws interest from high schools all over Arizona from as far away as Bagdad and Bisbee, is presented by Midwestern University faculty, staff, and student volunteers representing each of the University's 17 graduate healthcare degree programs.

Presentations included:

...and much more.

The Health Sciences Career Day provides a sample of what goes on in the free eight-day Health Careers Institute for High School Students held in July, which is open to 48 of the top high school juniors and seniors in the state. Interested students can submit their applications for that event at until May 1st.
