Graduates from the College of Health Sciences celebrate after a commencement ceremony at Midwestern University.

Midwestern University recently held a commencement ceremony on the Downers Grove Campus to celebrate the start of a variety of healthcare careers for the graduates. The College of Health Sciences marked the end of summer with a graduation ceremony for more than 150 students in the Physician Assistant, Occupational Therapy, and Clinical Psychology programs.

"Today we are celebrating the wonderful accomplishments of our graduates. They have worked so hard and succeeded in very difficult academic programs to get to this point," said Kathleen H. Goeppinger, Ph.D., President and Chief Executive Officer of the University, during her address to the graduates, their families, and their friends. Dr. Goeppinger also noted the extensive community service and academic accomplishments achieved by the graduates during several years of intensive studies.

Graduate Daniel Stumpf, who received a Master of Occupational Therapy (M.O.T.) degree, also addressed his fellow classmates and spoke of their experience at Midwestern University. "Today, not only do we celebrate the culmination of our education, we celebrate the relationships we've made and the people we've become," he said. "With the guidance of our faculty and the support of each other, we have accomplished much and are now ready to fulfill our goals of becoming practitioners in our fields."
