Midwestern University recently announced the appointment of Nicholas Parise, D.O., to the position of Associate Dean for Postdoctoral Education at Midwestern University.
Dr. Parise is a 1983 graduate of Midwestern University's Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed an internship at the Chicago Osteopathic Hospitals and completed an Internal Medicine residency at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, Illinois. He received both a certificate in Medical Management and a master's of science degree in Healthcare Management from the University of Texas at Dallas. Dr. Parise has spent 17 years in private medical practice.|
Since 2004, Dr. Parise has served as the course director for the first-year clinical medicine course at CCOM and he will continue in this role as part of his associate dean duties. He has also been an active clinical faculty member at Rainbow Hospice and founded the Osteopathic Internal Medicine Residency Training program at the Swedish Covenant Hospital in Chicago in 2005.
"Dr. Parise brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Midwestern University, both in pre-doctoral and postdoctoral medical education," said Kathleen H. Goeppinger, Ph.D., President and CEO of Midwestern University.
Dr. Parise is board certified in Internal Medicine, Hospice, Palliative Medicine, and Health Care Quality Management.
