First-year students from all of Midwestern University's healthcare professions programs gathered at the University's Glendale Campus on Saturday, September 29th, for Midwestern's annual White Coat Ceremony.

The event, in which first-year students receive a white coat with their embroidered college seal and personalized nametags, is a symbolic one that impresses upon the new students that the commitment to responsibility and professional attitude that they make as future healthcare professionals begins at the very start of their career preparation.

Faculty from each program placed the coats on the students, symbolically passing on their professional knowledge and communicating a promise to mentor them through their training and beyond.

All students in attendance then repeated an Oath of Commitment signifying their dedication to their craft and future patients.
