Midwestern University's Chicago College of Pharmacy (CCP) recently presented a new scholarship to a deserving second-year pharmacy student. The Dhingra Family Award was established by Om Dhingra, R.Ph. and Gobind Dhingra, who live in the Glen Ellyn and Carol Stream area and are the owners of community pharmacies in the Chicagoland area. The Dhingra family decided to establish a student scholarship to show their support for the quality pharmacy education provided at Midwestern University.
"The Chicago College of Pharmacy offers students a variety of scholarships and academic awards to help them fulfill their goal of becoming part of the next generation of pharmacy leaders," said Nancy Fjortoft, Ph.D., Dean and Professor of the Chicago College of Pharmacy. "We are grateful for the Dhingra family and others who help support our students by creating scholarship opportunities."
The inaugural Dhingra Family Award scholarship was presented to Elizabeth Davidson at the annual CCP Awards Gala on the Downers Grove Campus. The scholarship will be offered annually to one student who exemplifies professionalism and leadership. More than 37 scholarships and academic awards were presented to 52 deserving students at the CCP Awards Gala.
