Carl M. This will mark Dr. Pesta's ninth term as speaker.

"I take great pride in serving as speaker and thoroughly enjoy presiding over the House of Delegates as it performs its ever-essential policy-making duties," says Dr. Pesta. "I look forward to continuing to serve in this role."

Dr. Pesta is board-certified in internal medicine and nuclear medicine and has retired as the medical director at both the Church of Christ Care Center in Mt. Clemens, MI., and the Henry Ford Bi-County Hospital in Warren, MI. He currently resides in New Baltimore, MI.

In addition to serving as speaker of the AOA's House of Delegates, Dr. Pesta has been the speaker of the Michigan Osteopathic Association's House of Delegates and served as its parliamentarian for more than 20 years.

The AOA's House of Delegates, comprised of more than 500 delegates representing osteopathic state medical associations, specialty societies, interns, residents and students from throughout the country, meets annually to set organizational policies and elect new officers.
