AZ: Midwestern University President Wins Healthcare Leadership Award

Dr. Kathleen H. GoeppingerKathleen H. Goeppinger, Ph.D., President and CEO of Midwestern University, was one of 14 Valley recipients of the 2013 Healthcare Leadership Award presented by Arizona Business Magazine.

Dr. Goeppinger received the Healthcare Leadership Award in the category of Educational Program for her achievements in establishing Midwestern University as a significant economic engine and community service and outreach presence in Arizona. She was also recognized for her civic involvement and her contributions to Arizona policy regarding healthcare education and the state's healthcare needs.

Under Dr. Goeppinger's administration, the University has been named as one of the top ten places to work in academia by The Scientist magazine and was rated as one of Arizona's healthiest employers by The Phoenix Business Journal. Midwestern also received this year's WESTMARC Economic Engine Award for contributions to the West Valley economy.
