Students from Midwestern University's College of Health Sciences celebrated the beginning of their professional careers at a spring commencement ceremony held on the Downers Grove Campus. A total of 114 students graduated with the following degrees: Doctor of Physical Therapy, Master of Occupational Therapy, Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences, and Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology.
At the ceremony, Kathleen H. Goeppinger, Ph.D., President and CEO of the University, addressed the graduates, and their families and friends. "The professional degree our graduates are earning today took a lot of work, dedication, and - most of all - a desire to care for others," Dr. Goeppinger said. "Your patients will come to you because of what you have learned at this University and you need to make sure your patients know you really care about them." David L. Young, who received a Master of Occupational Therapy degree, also addressed the audience and shared his experiences as a student at Midwestern University.
The College of Health Sciences is one of three colleges on the Downers Grove Campus of Midwestern University and offers a variety of professional degrees designed to prepare students to meet the healthcare needs of the community in a wide range of academic and practice settings.
