Dr. Charles Finch received his D.O. degree from Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery in 1994. He completed his transitional internship, as well as his residency in Emergency Medicine, at Maricopa Medical Center. Dr. Finch is board-certified in Emergency Medicine and currently practices as an Emergency Physician in Scottsdale, Arizona. Dr. Finch also practices as an Attending Physician in the Pediatric Emergency Department at Maricopa Medical Center. He has been appointed as an Assistant Clinical Professor and Division Director of Integrative Medicine at Midwestern University -- Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine, and completed an Osteopathic Heritage Health Policy Fellowship in 2002. Dr. Finch is currently the Medical Director for Emergency Medical Services at Scottsdale Healthcare, as well as the Director of Continuing Medical Education. He also is the Medical Director of Salt River Fire Department.
Dr. Finch serves on the Board of Trustees for the Arizona Osteopathic Medical Association. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the American Lung Association of Arizona, Des Moines University Osteopathic Medical Center National Alumni Association Board of Directors, as well as a committee member for EMS Services for the Arizona Department of Health Services.
In addition to his academic, administrative, and clinical duties, Dr. Finch is the Founder and Camp Director of Camp Paz. This is a non-profit bereavement camp for children between the ages of 6-18 who have experienced the death of a loved one.
