More About the Program

The Occupational Therapy Program faculty have more than 225 years of combined experience as occupational therapists in diverse practice areas: pediatrics, intellectual disability, mental health, orthopedics, adult rehabilitation, research, program development, etc.  Several of us continue our respective practices on a regular basis. We value occupational therapy and support you in fulfilling your dream to become an Occupational Therapist.

The curriculum is rigorous and innovative.  The OTD Program is the first to develop in Illinois, and the focus is targeted toward developing in each student the professionalism and occupation-centeredness of an excellent OT practitioner.  You will receive close mentoring from faculty and develop close relationships with your peers as you progress through the curriculum.  We believe in student-centered approaches to teaching and learning, and look forward to joining you on your journey into Occupational Therapy.
