Dr. Helf is currently the Director of Educational Technologies and Medical Informatics at the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific, Western University of Health Sciences, where he also earned the Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree. He recently graduated in the top 10% of his class with a Master of Science, Information Technology from the College of Business and Economics, California State University, Fullerton. After eight years of contemplating the oft-asked question, "What do you do for a living?" Dr. Helf's current answer is, "Creative problem solving." His interests include adoring his lovely wife, training their rescue dogs to be good citizens, making IT the powerful and day-to-day useful province of non- geeks, gardening, travel, "foreign" peoples and their languages, amateur geology, massively multiplayer online games, mixed martial arts, and nearly anything on the History and Science channels.
